Magnolia loebneri 'Leonard Messel' 125-150 Root Ball

A small deciduous tree or large shrub, with large light green leaves in spring large pale lilac pink flowers appear before the leaves. This variety has star shaped flowers. Hardy but like a sheltered spot the flowers may be damaged by frosts. Height approx. 8m width approx. 4m over 25 years. Likes a moist but well drained soil.
