A compact form of this hardy evergreen shrub, with large leaves that are silvery beneath. The flowers are small silvery-scaly appear in the autumn and are fragrant. A very good plant for screening requires a fertile well drained soil in full sun but will tolerate shade and dry soil, may become chlorotic on shallow chalk
