Platanus or. ‘Digitata’

A Large tree to 30m eventually it has deeply cut palmate leaves which are green turning yellow in autumn. The fruits are round and green turning to brown hanging on the tree deep into winter. An extremly hardy tree that tolerates pollution well it can be used for many topiary forms as it stands up well to hard pruning. Tolerates all soils but does not do so well on very calcareous soils. Mix plenty of good compost with the soil and stake well.
