Liriodendron tulipifera

A large stately tree to 20m it bears tulip shaped deep green leaves which turn yellow in autumn. The flowers are large and yellowish-green with orange marks and also resemble the flower of a tulip. Hardy and strong growing it likes a good rich and deep soil it is tolerant of wind and makes a superb specimin tree.
